First day of my fourth semester!

                                                        Yeahhh, that's more like it!

Yeah, long have the days gone when I got  in the "Nemo" mood about the first day of school. lol 5:30 alarm went off this morning and I snoozed! All in all though, it wasn't so bad. I thoroughly enjoy my teachers and I feel like this semester might just be a breeze. It is my fourth semester, though..hopefully I'm getting the hang of it. I told my friend Sam the other day, after we finished eating lunch, that I feel like I'm in high school all over again, except its harder. I'm just counting off the days until I graduate and finished for good! It was nice seeing all of the familiar faces I met last semester. I am thankfully in classes where I know at least one person. So I am happy. It was a good first day!

Ahhh..Saturday.

This morning I get my daily call from my bestfriend from Alaska and he proceeds to tell me about the wonderful blizzard he was driving home in. Of course he was rubbing it in knowing that here it was a high of 66 degrees. Global Warming you stink. I'm ready for snow and cold days..although I did enjoy riding around town with my windows down..it's way too early for this warm front to come in! Today has been eventful. I loved spending time at my youth pastors house today..going over everything for Teen Talent. It seems to be sneaking up on me faster and faster as each year goes by. Tonight Charliebrown and I had "our" time together. He is constantly pestering me to spend more time with him. And so our night consisted of "Good luck Charlie" and dinner at our sister's house. It is my last Saturday of break...we will see how my weekends look from now on till the end of the semester! lol Fingers crossed! Happy Saturday everyone.

Tantrum time!

I had the most amazing weekend last week. :) I decided to go and spend some much needed time with my second family in Burlington. It was a crazy fun weekend. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much! Spending time with Celina and the Curasi family is always a highlight of my month! Now back to reality...college starts on Monday and this girl is taking 17 credits. I am NOT looking forward to it what so ever. You remember those moments when you are at the grocery store and the little kid starts to throw a fit because he/she is not getting their way. Well that's how I'm trying not to handle going back to school. I don't wanna throw a fit about it..even though in my mind I'm showing the warning signs! Instead I'm going to think positive. Hope you all had an amazing New Years!

Random trips to Chapel Hill are the best!

Morning Devotion

I was reading my morning devotional and had an amazing eye opener. I have always felt as if I go through periods where I am not growing even though I am reading my bible and praying harder than ever. Normally I would take in consideration that I can't see any fruit being grown and I start to lose hope and try to do things in my own strength. But after reading my devotional it was as if God was gently whispering in my ear and to my soul to not give up.

Sometimes a person goes through a "stagnant" period in their walk with the Lord. A stagnant period is a season when a person is not seeing any fruit even though they are diligently seeking the Lord. During this time God is preparing your branches to hold the strong fruit that is going to be produced at the right time. He is strengthening the branches, pruning the branches and making sure they can stand up to any kind of storm. So keep heart during the stagnant periods of your walk with God and honor God were you are at the moment with the little things in life. Because he is always working behind the scenes.

Can you hear it?

Roxanne is my biggest fan. She supports my music to the fullest. Whenever she gets fussy I play a specific lullaby and she starts drifting off to sleep. :) What can I say, she is my muse.
